President Monson just announced the building of a new temple in the Greater Kansas City Area! How exciting!!!! This is a tremendous cause to rejoice and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father. We will receive the blessing of our own temple!
He also announced that temples would be built in Calgary Alberta, Cordoba Argentina, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and Rome Italy.
President Monson said. "It is here where members learn of their divine origin and destiny; where they are strengthened spiritually as individuals and as families. Temples are sanctuaries from the storms of life."

Alex had a soccer game this morning at 10am so we didn't get home until about 10:20. We started watching conference on the computer. A few talks into conference Elder Neil Andersen made the conference made a comment about President Monson sharing the wonderful news about the five new temples. Then we got an email from our RS secretary asking if we had heard the news about KC getting a temple. We stopped to watch President Monson's talk and couldn't believe the news.
After the morning session, we called grandmas and grandpas just to share the news. A neighbor called to ask a question and I wouldn't let her go on until I shared this very important and exciting news. What a blessing!

We just finished talking to you on the Web Cam, then I took Dad to the Bookmark and your Blog site, to show him Dixon's pumpkin patch pictures and saw the announcement of your new Temple. How wonderful!!! I missed the announcement of the 5 new temples in the morning session yesterday. That is so Great!!
