1- When you have the opportunity to wake up and get to the gym at 5am, don't be lazy and just assume that you will get your exercise later when you ride your bike to pick up Dixon from preschool. Many things will keep you from that, it will rain for 4 hours and Dixon will puke at preschool and will get sent home early. Also don't assume that you can just do the exercise ball workout, because your oldest child will play ball in the basement and the ball will hit the shop light sharp corner and the exercise ball will explode.
Now you don't get to exercise. So wake up tomorrow and the next day and the next day. Because life will get in the way!
2- when a note comes home letting you know what things are requested when your child is star student. Don't assume (this is a bad word - assume) that this is just a generic letter, clarify. What is really happening is that the teacher is letting you know that your child is star student the next week.
3- When the day looks beautiful and perfect for staining the garden boxes, don't. It will rain for 4 hours the next morning and the stain won't have enough time to seep in. When the 4 year old asks if he can help stain the boxes. Remember that stain is really liquidy and will make a huge mess when he accidentally tips over the almost full gallon of stain. Luckily he was wearing his painting clothes
4- Those scratches on the 7 year old's face are really impetigo. And it's really fun to get him out of school early to go to the doctor's office with all 4 kids. This is also a great way to meet your new pediatrician. Luckily she is a very nice lady.
5- When you are at the Dr office with all 4 kids and you need to go to the bathroom, ask the kind nurses to keep the 1 year old that likes to play in the toilet and in the garbage can. This same 1 year old "Brogan" will try to play in the toilet and the garbage can while you are pulling up your pants. It is also not a good idea to put him in the sink, he is not out of harms way like you think. He will instead turn the faucet on and completely soak himself.
All important lessons that I have learned this week. Hopefully the rest of the week will go better.

wow, you need a girls night out. What a week you are having. Don't forget you can always call for help to babysit those wonderful boys of yours. I'm usually home and would love to take them, even if they cry at me!
