Chicago Trip

We just got back from Chicago. We had the time in our lives. Rich's niece and husband live in Chicago and had their wedding celebration there. We couldn't resist going to support them.

The Sears Tower. What a rush!

Sonnett and David - the happy couple!
We will definitely be visiting you again... when Brogan doesn't make mad dashes for
oncoming traffic.

Chelsea, Sonnett and David
Louis and his fiancée Tammy.

Pier and Steve

Don and Pam.

As we were leaving their party, we asked how close it was to to the beach of Lake Michigan. David said, turn right when you get out of the restaurant, walk 3 blocks and you'll be there. It was fantastic to be on the beach again, it has been YEARS for me and the kids have never been.

We met up with Rich's family again at a fun Chicago style pizza restaurant.
It was great to spend some more time with them.

Rich, sister Pier, and brother Louis.
We have started a family tradition of taking a family pictures in front of ever LDS temple we are near. This is the Chicago Temple. Beautiful

Lego Discovery Land in Chicago.

We stopped at Wrigley's Field. There was a Cub game going on that night but we didn't go.
I love this photo of the tracks. It had rained before.
We went to Navy Pier.
Christopher and Alex rode the swings, Dixon and Brogan rode the carousel and we all rode the ferris wheel.

On our way out we walked past the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. (Run Forrest Run!)

Yes we rode the "L" all over Chicago.
One of my favorite movies is The Fugitive with Harrison Ford. It was so fun to watch it again after being there.

The Science and Industry Museum in Chicago is Amazingly HUGE!!!

They have the captured U-505 boat under the front yard of the building. It was so cool to see.

On our way home we stopped at the Des Moines, IA children's museum. The boys were able to be on the noon weather report.

We had a fantastic time!!!!!!
