Christopher turns 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christopher Russell turned 10 on February 19th.

10 years ago our sweet, wonderful Christopher was born. This was my perfect pregnancy but surprising delivery. He was 5 weeks early and showed us many times that he was a fighter by the time he was 5 weeks old. I wasn't sure if I was planning on going back to work after my 6 weeks leave was up. Until I was getting him ready to leave the hospital for the 3rd and last time and I realized that I couldn't leave him with anyone. That was the day I became a stay at home mom.

Christopher's name was picked by his Rich a few months before we got married. He went with me to visit my parents because my dad was in the hospital having cancer surgery. Anyway, Rich got really sick and ended up in the emergency room with a pretty high fever. We were talking while he was semi-delusional about our future. Rich came up with "Christopher Russell". Russell is Rich's and his Dad's Wayne's middle name.

We are so glad to have Christopher as a part of our family.

Christopher is 2 1/2 years old.

* Christopher is our eternal optimist.

*He is so sweet and kind to his younger brothers.

*He is a bookworm. He'll quote Calvin and Hobbs if given the chance and will sneak Animorphs books under his desk and read while the instructions are being given at school. (We've had a conversation about this, but he really loves to read at any chance given)

* He could speak full sentences by the time he was two.

* He is always willing to help.

* He can't stand potatoes or rice. Besides French fries of course.

* He wants to be an inventor when he grows up. Not a firefighter because he doesn't want to die. He used to want to be an underwater paleontologist.

* He loves Star Wars and is counting down the days until he is 13 and is old enough to watch the Star Wars III.

* He won 3rd place for the 2nd year in the pinewood derby race. He's already designing his car for next year.

Christopher's best friend birthday is Feb 18th so his mom and I decided to take our boys out to lunch to celebrate their special days. They are truly two peas in a pod. We are all so grateful that they've found each other.
